We house and support care leavers and young homeless

About Bridge for Young People

Young People and Children First, known as Bridge for Young People, provides a home and support to young people (aged 16-25) who are leaving care or who are homeless. We currently have three houses in West Berkshire; Cornerstone, Rebecca House and Hope House.

Our residents have typically experienced varying challenges during their childhood. We provide them with a stable home, emotional support and practical help during this crucial time as they move into independence.

“I don’t know what I would have done without this place and all of you….this charity has changed my life. Turned it around”

Help us Furnish Wessex House

We will be opening a new six bed house and seven flatlets for our young people in early 2025. This will be Wessex House. For us to fully furnish the house and flatlets, we require so many goods so our young people can have a new home. If you would like to help, please take a look at our Amazon Wishlist. Thank you so much.
