We house and support care leavers and young homeless

About Bridge for Young People

Young People and Children First, known as Bridge for Young People, provides a home and support to young people (aged 16-25) who are leaving care or who are homeless. We currently have three houses in West Berkshire; Cornerstone, Rebecca House and Hope House.

Our residents have typically experienced varying challenges during their childhood. We provide them with a stable home, emotional support and practical help during this crucial time as they move into independence.

Wessex House Opening

We are thrilled to announce we will be opening Wessex House in April 2025. Wessex House will provide a home to 13 young people, 6 within the beautiful Georgian House, and 7 more in the attached one bedroom flatlets. Our offices will also move to Wessex House.

The wonderful Greenham Trust are just finishing converting this property from offices to residential and we will be taking over the property in April.

Thank you to Greenham Trust, staff, young people, trustees and all our supporters.
