Our mission
Young People and Children First are looking for responsible and trustworthy people, over 18 years of age, who can help with a range of activities in the next stages of our charity’s growth and development; whether this is joining our Trustee Board or our team of volunteers.
“I understand so much more about the difficulties that care leavers can go through. It’s comforting to know that locally we have a charity that could be of help in these instances for youngsters. At each and every opportunity it has been a joy to see them smiling and growing, building trust and developing positive relationships. I am so proud to be a volunteer and to be a part of such a wonderful charity and it really does warm my heart knowing that even if small, I have made a difference”.
What our volunteers say
“I have witnessed first hand the difference Young People & Children First make to the residents of Cornerstone. So proud to work with them.”
(Carolyn Austin, volunteer)
“Cornerstone provides a wonderful service for the young people and I am proud to be involved”
(Irene Neill, Trustee)
“It’s a huge privilege to be working with such an inspirational, forward-thinking charity, who have the potential to impact the lives of so many more young vulnerable people as the programme expands.”
(Sheryl Pratt, volunteer)
“Volunteers are not paid, not because they are worthless, But, because they are priceless”
